Ingredients

Batch size: One small batch, which you can divide into two portions. The creator did not specify a milk type or sweetener amount; these choices affect the flavor and texture.

How to make coffee collagen ice cream in a Ninja Creami

  1. Brew the espresso. Make one shot and let it cool before combining it with the milk.
  2. Mix the base. Whisk the milk, espresso, and two scoops of Adda until the powder is dispersed. Add sweetener if using.
  3. Fill your container. Pour the mixture into a compatible Ninja Creami container, staying below its maximum fill line. Cover with the storage lid.
  4. Freeze. Freeze the container upright on a level surface for at least 24 hours, following your model’s instructions.
  5. Process. Fit the frozen container into the machine and use the program your model recommends for the milk and sweetener you chose. Follow its instructions for assembly and processing.
  6. Check the texture. If needed, follow your model’s Re-Spin guidance. Scoop into two bowls and enjoy.

The creator shared the ingredient quantities, but did not specify a freezing time or processing program. The written preparation includes Ninja’s general 24-hour freezing guidance; use your own model’s manual for the appropriate settings.

Why use unflavored collagen?

Adda is unflavored, so you can add collagen without introducing a separate vanilla or chocolate flavor. In this recipe, the espresso supplies the coffee flavor.

Each scoop of Adda provides 11 g of collagen. The two-scoop batch contains 22 g of collagen in total, or approximately 11 g in each of two equal portions.

Can I use decaf espresso?

You can use a decaf espresso shot if you prefer. It keeps the recipe centered on coffee flavor while reducing caffeine; decaf coffee is not necessarily caffeine-free.

Can I make this without a Ninja Creami?

This method is written for a Ninja Creami, which processes a frozen base. Freezing the mixture alone will not give you the same texture, and we have not tested a different machine for this creator recipe.
